What our Nairobi safari packages are

One great drive, packaged to fit your trip

In one sentenceOur Nairobi safari packages range from a half-day game drive to a full wildlife-circuit day, offered private, shared, family, luxury and budget — all built around Nairobi National Park and its wildlife circuit.

Every package below is a starting point, not a fixed departure. We run our own vehicles and guides, so we shape any of them around your dates, your group and your budget.

The most useful thing to understand before you browse is this: a Nairobi safari package is a fixed core with a flexible wrapper. The core — the wild park, the animals, a licensed guide, a pop-top 4×4, your KWS fees — is much the same on every package. What changes from one to the next is the wrapper: how long you’re out, whether the vehicle is private or shared, the level of comfort, and the price that follows. So the honest way to choose is by budget and group, not by imagining a “better” package shows you different animals. It doesn’t — the rhino don’t know which tier you booked.

Wondering what it all costs?

We never publish invented prices. Park fees are set by KWS per person per 24 hours, and the rest depends on your choices. For how a Nairobi safari price is actually built — and what a proper quote includes — see the cost guide, then let us confirm a figure in writing.

What changes between packages

The same park — a different wrapper

This is the thing brochures rarely say plainly. Here’s exactly what stays constant across every Nairobi package, and what you’re actually choosing when you pick one.

The fixed core
Much the same on every package
  • The same wild park and the same animals
  • A professional, licensed Nairobi driver-guide
  • A 4×4 pop-top with a window seat for everyone
  • KWS park fees at your correct residency tier
  • Pick-up and drop-off in Nairobi
The flexible wrapper
What you’re actually choosing
  • How long you’re out — half-day, full day, or a circuit
  • Private vehicle or a shared, scheduled departure
  • The level of comfort and the standard of camp or lodge
  • Group size, pace and how much the day flexes to you
  • Any add-ons — the circuit, a city afternoon, photography
Fact: the park and its wildlife are the same whichever package you book. Mechanism: the tiers change the vehicle, comfort and length, not the animals. Consequence: a premium package buys a better day, not a better sighting. Advice: choose by your budget and group size, and spend the difference on more time in the park, not a fancier badge.

How to choose

Start from your situation, not the price list

Quick answers

Nairobi safari package FAQs

A private safari gives you your own vehicle, guide and pace with no shared seats — you set the rhythm and can change the day as you go. A shared safari puts you on a scheduled departure with other travellers at a lower per-person cost, following a fixed group plan. Same park and wildlife; the difference is exclusivity, flexibility and price. Private safari → · Shared safari →

A luxury package is a fully private drive in a premium vehicle with a senior guide and added comforts — more space, service and flexibility. What it doesn’t change is the wildlife: you’re in the same park seeing the same animals as every other tier. You’re paying for a better day, not a better sighting. Luxury safari →

The price is built from KWS park fees, the vehicle and fuel, the guide, any attraction entries and our margin, and it swings most with private-versus-shared, the length of the day, and your residency category. We don’t publish fixed figures here because park fees are set per person per 24 hours by KWS and change; we quote you at the correct tier in writing. How the cost breaks down →

That’s most of what we do. The packages here are starting points. Because we run our own vehicles and guides, we build the day around your dates, group, budget and interests — the park, the circuit, a city afternoon, photography — rather than reselling a fixed departure. Tell us the brief and we’ll design it. Custom safari →

The family safari, usually. It pairs a shorter, private game drive with the Giraffe Centre and the orphanage, which keep children engaged, and because the stops sit close together there’s little long car time. We keep the pace and the day built around young travellers. Family safari →

Yes. These packages are built around Nairobi, but the city is Kenya’s safari gateway, so we can use it as your base and travel on to the Maasai Mara, Amboseli or Tsavo by road or a short flight from Wilson, or string several parks into one trip. Safaris from Nairobi →
